Frequently asked questions

Short answers for creators, producers, moderators, studios, and business live teams evaluating GoOverlay for collaborative overlay control.

What is GoOverlay?

GoOverlay is a collaborative real-time control layer for streaming overlays. It helps teams prepare widgets, manage scenes, and trigger live on-screen elements without giving every collaborator full workspace control.

Does GoOverlay work with OBS?

Yes. GoOverlay provides hosted browser-source output URLs that can be used in OBS or another streaming setup that supports browser sources.

Who is GoOverlay built for?

GoOverlay is built for streamers, moderators, producers, small teams, tournaments, podcasts, launches, webinars, and business live productions that need structured overlay control.

Which widgets are available during beta?

The current public beta includes Countdown, Timer, Fun Fact, Generic Text, Testing Dot, and the Premium-only Text Ticker widget. More widgets are planned after the beta foundation is stable.

Can I use GoOverlay alone if I am a smaller streamer?

Yes. Solo streamers can use GoOverlay to prepare reusable overlays, keep OBS browser sources stable, and trigger common stream moments from one clean control surface without building a full production team workflow first.

What changes with Premium?

Premium increases workspace, scene, and collaborator limits, adds priority support, enables watermark removal, includes premium templates, and gives early access to future widget releases.
